The Four Oaks Cluster Choir is aimed at young singers in the Four Oaks and Sutton Coldfield area,  primarily at schools in the Four Oaks Cluster. We currently have a strong membership of over 60.  New members are invited to audition each year, usually in September. Membership is free of charge and is open to anyone in year 5-8.  We meet every Wednesday from 4-5.30pm at Four Oaks Primary School in term time. Our primary aim is foster a love of singing, and enjoyment is a vital element of what we do. Being part of a choir can develop self-esteem and confidence, as well as skills in teamwork and performance, and we hope that the experiences the members gain will stay with them for life. There are also chances to make plenty of new friends!

Commitment is essential - rehearsals are tight and good attendance results in higher standards. Learning pieces in up to three-part harmony is not easy, but is always well worth the effort! We expect members to remain committed throughout the whole academic year. We work towards many engagements and record an annual CD too.

On becoming a member of the choir you will be given a purple T-shirt with the choir's logo, as well as a cosy fleece, which you will be required to wear to performances. You will also need to wear: black trousers/skirt, black 40-denier tights for the girls and black, polished shoes to all performances. Girls' hair should be tied back please....but feel free to wear a purple bobble!

If you think you've got what it takes to be part of the choir, please get in touch.
